My elder brother is a drunkard and every alternate night he either fights with my parents or he beats his wife?

My brother had been abusing drugs for years. (heroine). He would steal, lie, manipulate all of us. We tried everything from kicking him out, to forcing rehab, to jail. Nothing changed him. You can lead a donkey to water but you cant make him drink. Your brother has to want to change. You cannot force it. The only thing you can do is try to protect your mother, father, and your brothers wife from him. Toughen them up a bit and make sure they know that they are not the problem. Your brother is an alcoholic. If he loves his daughter, maybe have a intervention with him and let him see what he is doing to his family and daughter. Have everyone write down their feelings and sit him down when he is SOBER. Or video tape when hes drunk looking like an *** and show it to him when he is sober and talk and explain how he hurts everyone and he will end up making his daughter HATE him. Good luck!
