Is it generally emotional reasons that guide people to atheism or theism?
I think that religion is emotionally driven because if it were logically driven it wouldn't exist. That is why people who are logically driven tend to be atheists. They are willing to accept reality as "cold" or "harsh" as it may seem. They desire to know the facts despite how they feel about them. Emotionally driven people have to lie to themselves to make themselves feel better instead of striving to know the truth and work towards fixing the problem. They would rather do the fix quick way of ignoring what they don't like and convincing themselves that everything is a happy fairy tale land where everyone lives forever in complete bliss.
