Why is my electric stove taking so long to heat up to temp all of a sudden?

i have a maytag electric stove and it works fine on broil but to heat it up for the oven temp it takes forever ..like to get to 350 it takes 45 min.. i had to keep switching from broiler to oven so the it would get hot quicker and it still took forever.. what could it be?
